Wellness & Wine: A Weekend for Women
This month, guests of Hotel Iroquois can take part in a joyous, weekend-long celebration of women and wellness from Friday, October 20th through Saturday, October 21st. Women from all over the state will come together on Mackinac Island to forge new friendships while learning about wellness and healthy living – and indulge in a little bit of shopping, food, and wine too.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Mary Ivey, who will discuss aging gracefully in addition to other topics. A guided nature walk will be available with guide Karen Allen, along with yoga and meditation classes by Lisa Knaftle, Spirit of the North. Judge Beth Gibson will talk about “Everything Women Should Know About the Law,” and Jenny Sullivan, senior stylist for Douglas J (Aveda) and Amber Gilbert, owner of Rootz Salon, will provide hair and makeup demonstrations, with makeovers going to two lucky attendees. The weekend will also feature spa treatments, basket drawings, cocktails, wine, and appetizers by Mike Stickler, culinary chef of Gordon Food Service. This event will benefit the Mackinac Island Community Foundation Cancer Fund. For tickets and more information, click here.
